Description

The tenement house at 41 Hoża Street in Warsaw, erected in the years 1911-1912 by Wacław Heppen & Józef Napoleon Czerwiński’ enterprise for Chaim Braun and Janina Macierakowska. It is a five-floor tenement house with the rounded corner additionally accentuated with a bay. The facade is decorated with rustic quoins up to the level of the first floor and the balconies and bays on a plan of a circle segment add variety to it. The last storey is slightly withdrawn and fragmented with attached demicolumns and pillars supporting the topping cornice. The artistic decor of floral motifs is concentrated in the form of a frieze on the level of the second floor windows and at the base of the corner bay. The main entrance to the building is from the side of Hoża Street. The wooden glazed gate with decor of geometric and floral motifs was placed in the main entrance.
