Description

Church and convent of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns in Cracow at 40 Łobzowska Street built by Tadeusz Stryjeński In the period 1901-1905 and designed by Franciszek Mączyński. The compound is a magnificent example of early modernism.  It consists of a church on a cruciform plan with a convent and a cloister garth on a quadrangular plan adjacent to it from the west side. The buildings were built in brick with simplified neo-Romanesque forms used and with stone details in the style of late Art Nouveau.
