Description
The former department store at 32/33 Rzeźnicza Street in Wrocław. The building was erected according to Louis Schlesinger's design in the years 1899-1901. It is a four-storey building with a symmetric facade fragmented with eight stone pillars closed with archs. The space between them is filled with glass panes. The architectural decor of the building in the form of caps topped with sculptures of crowned female heads and obelisks is concentrated in the upper part, in the topping of arcades and pillars. The main entrance preceded with a withdrawn portico supported by two columns is located on the facade axis. Production plants with a small shop on the ground floor were located here after World War II. In 1995 the building was modernized and, among other things, the old shop windows and window joinery were replaced with new ones.
