The Irregular Talents project was carried out by 4 partner organizations from three countries with financial support from the European Commission. The project partners were: Nazareno Socjeta Cooperativa Socjale (Italy), International Center for Information Management Systems and Services ICIMSS (Poland), University of Economy in Bydgoszcz (Poland) and Verein Integrative Kukturarbeit (Austria).
The project started in October 2013 and took 24 months to complete. Its aim was to support and promote the artistic activity of people with disabilities, unknown professional and non-professional artists who did not have the opportunity to present their talent to a wider audience. During the project, there were, among others, organized workshops and international exhibitions of artists' works.
The exhibition was presented in 2015 in Italy (Pinacoteca Nazionale, Bologna), Poland (Center for Contemporary Art in Toruń and Academic Cultural Space in Bydgoszcz) and in Austria (Pregarten).
The exhibitions were accompanied by richly illustrated catalogs. Moreover, as part of the project, monographs of 12 artists whose works were on display were published. Studies prepared by experts were published in national languages and translated into English.
