Piotr Konstanty



The Technical Director of the International Centre for Information Management Systems & Services (ICIMSS), and a member of the Association's Executive Board. Currently he is the Manager of the TORMAN Laboratory (City Computer Network), at the University Computer Centre (UCI). In 1980-1986 he was a computer programmer in the Computer Centre of Nicolaus Copernicus University. In 1986 he became the manager of the Software and Network System Laboratory of the University Computer Centre. At the same time he worked as a consultant in the IT Centre of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. In May 1989 he had a scientific internship in the Computer Department of Cambridge University, UK (researching the Software System Phoenix). Since 1989 to 1994 City Counceler, in 1992-1994 he was a member of Torun's Municipal Executive Board. In 1993-1995 technical editor of Topological Methods in Nonlinear Analysis Publishing House. Since 1994 he has been doing the website of Torun City, which was the first municipal website in Poland. Firstly he worked as an editor; now he takes care of technical aspects of the website. Since 1997 he has done community work as the Chair of the Association of Cooperation with Twin Towns of Torun (TWzMBT). He is the author and editor of articles on the transmission and preservation of data and computer network technology. Privately he is interested in aviation and music. As a former athlete (he played basketball between 1970 and 1980), he likes to spend his time actively (he runs).
